68% enrolled in 6 weeks

Atlas Manufacturing

How a distributed manufacturing workforce adopted employer-funded credit building without slowing the line.

Enrollment
68% in 6 weeks

The challenge

Atlas runs three shifts across eight plants. Traditional financial wellness webinars saw single-digit attendance, and the benefits team needed something employees could complete on a phone during a break—not another all-hands deck.

Leadership wanted a benefit that felt tangible: something that showed up on a credit report, not just another discount program.

The rollout

Workcred launched with bilingual SMS and poster QR codes at time clocks. Plant managers received a one-page FAQ; HRIS data seeded invites so workers did not re-type payroll details.

Enrollment peaked in weeks three through five as peer referrals kicked in—employees talked about the program on the floor more than any prior benefit launch.

What changed

Six weeks after go-live, sixty-eight percent of the eligible hourly population had active tradelines reporting. The People team now tracks bureau status from one dashboard instead of vendor spreadsheets.

Atlas is expanding the program to salaried staff in Q3 with the same playbook: simple messaging, minimal friction, and clear timelines for first bureau posts.

We finally had a benefit that felt as real as a 401(k)—employees could see it on their credit file.
